You're favorite Men's Volleyball players in UH History?

Yuval Katz = the Micheal Jordan of volleyball.
Alan Alan = Homegrown and he could play every position on the court, the volleyball version of the Noga's.
Brian Popenga = He was my volleyball version of the Human Highlight (Nique) because he hammered the ball down with MUCHO authority.

Brian Poppinga was my teacher in high school. Then he coached the boys v-ball team and brought his brother Jeff to practice too. They would hammer the ball against our boys! It was fun to watch. As for my favorite, I'm biased towards Tony Ching... only cause he's family. Other than that, I have not really been a big v-ball fan.

I liked Yuval till he left early to earn money. The team coming back could have won the NC with him. He is now my least favorite player. I'll go with Tony Ching as my favorite.

Brenton Davis-Another crazy headband(saran wrap) wearing dude.
Naveh Milo- One of the most complete player to ever wear a UH Uni.
Pedro Azenha -To bad he didn't have another year of eligibilty.
Dejan Miladinovich-Seems like he was at UH for 10 years.Best MB to ever
wear a UH Uni.

A fan favorite? Anyone ever heard of Costas Theocharidis, the only 4 time 1st team All American ever to play for Hawaii (Yuval would have been another one, had he stayed all four years). I don't think it was his fault that their NCAA title was taken away by the NCAA...he played with pros, but he did not receive any money. He maybe controversial with the NCAA, but he sure had a lot of cheers, sign waving, an aloha from all those multitudes of Warrior volleyball fans all vour years as a Warrior. Without him the Warriors wouldn't have been in title match with Pepperdine. A fan favorite, you bet.

I was introduced to volleyball watching Allen Allen. The biggest thing that I will always remember about him was his massive legs. He wasn't very tall but geez...his leaping ability more than made up for it. He's my all time fav...the A-BOMB!
