Eran Ganot
I think that kudos should go to the new head coach especially since he took UH to their first NCAA win in post season play. Something I would have expected the Fab-5 would have done back in their heyday. Off to a three game win streak and plans for a 2018 start with a strong front line? He's brought over the Saint Mary's success to UH. Saint Mary also had a strong front line most years and one of their guards plays for the Cavaliers. Thanks Eran Ganot.

Re: Erin Ganot
LOL. Erin is typically a female name, and would seem to be Irish (?), not Jewish!

Re: Eran Ganot
Thanks aku. All I know is that St. Mary's was the talk of the Bay Area even with Cal and Stanford being in the same general area. Also, you had USF, Santa Clara and SJSU all mid-major potential power teams. It was St. Mary's always taking the spotlight and potentially beating the powerful Gonzaga basketball team in the conference. Hawaii got lucky with Eran. I like the part in the article where he's a tireless worker. Something I wished they would have more of with the other coaching staffs.

Re: Eran Ganot
Ganot's team is surprising me. I expected a 10 or 11 win season, they've already exceeded that win total.

This man is going to get a lot of attention if the Bows make yet another NCAA playoff. I hope he stays for a while.

Re: Eran Ganot
I kind of like the way team moves the ball before taking the shot. They look methodical like Golden State Dubs. Not too many can take the ball to the hole though. Only Gibson Johnson and Mike Thomas seem to be able to challenge the big boys. Disappointed that the coaches did not try to interrupt the rhythm of Allman of CSUF.

Re: Eran Ganot
Basic mistakes by the team at Cal Poly. Drammeh was double teamed, could not see his other team mates and got up in the air to pass the ball. Did that twice luckily no turnover but causes others on the team to be sloppy. Buggs gets inside and has no option for a shot like a runner or a short jumper or a lay up. They double teamed Thomas early so people should have been screening for him. And yet another game where the guard from the opposition beat the team. Last three games and it seems like the top guards for the opposition outplayed our guards.
