Should UH retain Benjy at seasons end or open the hiring

Should UH retain Benjy Taylor when their season comes to an end or wait until a new AD is hired, open the hiring process and name a coach in May or June?

If he wins today, there is no way he can be let go. But still...the real question is, can he keep this team together? Losing 2-4 players every off-season was a Gib Arnold tradition. If these guys stay, then okay...if not...that's a more difficult discussion.

I like Benjy but I think we need to look at who applies for the job before we sign anyone. Can he recruit? New AD should be involved in the selection of a new coach.

I don't think that either AD candidate will have someone in mind so they will keep Taylor.
I think that in everyone's mind he did enough and I am ok if he gets a shorter contract (3 years or less)

Wins and losses count a lot. Character says a lot, both for the coach candidate and for the players that play under him. Politics always play a huge role. New AD Matlin has been talking about character since he was announced as the AD. If the unsubstantiated rumors about Benjy Taylor are actually true, then no chance for Benjy.
