2014 FIBA USA vs New Zealand

Post by ubercow »

Just FYI, FIBA World Cup USA vs New Zealand is going to be shown this coming Tuesday, September 2 5:30am HST (ESPN2/ESPN3). It looks like Fotu is putting in some major minutes in the warm up games to the world cup. I'm thinking it's going to be cool to see how he fares against the top NBA guys. I hear the tall blacks have been doing a pre-game haka as well.

fotu's killing it going 6 of 8 from two and 1/1 from three against finland. also looks like they're advancing to the bracket stage on the fiba site.

So does this mean Fotu is not enrolled in school this season?

pretty sure he is. he can miss classes for this, im pretty sure they make concessions for it.

:- Sure they can..... :o right? Did they check with the NCAA on this.....or is this just another "ADD on to HAWAII bill for travel"

Gary Dickman said on his show last week that there's a NCAA rule that if a college player is playing for his country in the Olympics, international competition like this, etc, then he is allowed to miss school without penalty.
Hopefully he can catch up on his schoolwork when he returns tho.
