MBB - Down the Stretch

Post by Ulchiro5ga »

The top two seeds in the BWT get byes. UH plays still has games with all the top teams (two on the road with two games on national TV). Looks like Long Beach has the easiest remaining schedule?

Hawaii's schedule: 2/20 - Irvine; 2/22 - Davis; 2/27 @ LB (Fox PT); 3/6 @ SB (ESPNU); 3/8 - Fullerton.
Irvine's schedule: 2/20 @ Hawaii; 2/22 @ Northridge; 2/27 - SB; 3/1 - Poly; 3/6 @ Fullerton; 3/8 - Davis.
SB's schedule: 2/20 - Riverside; 2/22 - Fullerton; 2/27 @ Irvine; 3/1 @ Davis; 3/6 - Hawaii; 3/8 - @ Poly.
LB's schedule: 2/20 @ Davis; 2/27 - Hawaii; 3/1 @ Fullerton; 3/6 @ Northridge; 3/8 - Riverside.

no, no one get's a bye.

the only bye is for 9th place. they get a bye for the whole tournament.
When in doubt, burn it down.

You're right. In the Big West after the first round (1st plays 8th; 2nd plays 7th, etc.), if there are upsets they re-seed, i.e., the highest remaining seeds play the lowest remaining seeds.

yeah, its confusing because the Women's tournament features byes. 1 and 2 get double byes, 3 and 4 get a single bye.
