Next opponents: 1/9 @ Cal Poly. Record is 4-9, but they played brutal road schedule (pay me the money): @Arizona, @Oregon, @Pittsburgh, @Stanford, @Delaware, etc. Only two players averaging double digits: #33 Eversley, F, 14.0 PPG and #00 Nwaba, Wing, 11.5 PPG, and one other at 9.5 PPG.
1/11 @ CS Northridge. Record is 8-7 (they will play UC Davis before UH). I guess signature wins are Idaho and Austin Peay (in OT). Three players averaging double digits: #1 Green, G, 14.8 PPG, #3 Hicks, G, 17.6 PPG and #21 Maxwell, F, 16.5 PPG.

Re: Next Opponents - Cal Poly & Northridge
Cal Poly plays at one of the slowest paces in the country.
they are a half court team. if our press can get to them, it should pay dividends. if we can play the game at our tempo and keep from getting slogged down like the first half against Norfolk State or in the BOise game, we can win this.
they may have played a brutal schedule, but they still arent as good as they were last year.

When in doubt, burn it down.

UH loses 77 to 65. Cal Poly has beaten them 5 straight. I guess we're too optimistic.

Re: Next Opponents - Cal Poly & Northridge
Some teams just have a certain team's number no matter what either team's record is. If UH went 2 conference losses all season long, and those losses came against Cal Poly...I'd take it. I just wouldn't want to play them in the conference tourney.Ulchiro5ga wrote:UH loses 77 to 65. Cal Poly has beaten them 5 straight. I guess we're too optimistic.

i swear, Cal Poly's gym is a black hole. there's no other way to explain it.
When in doubt, burn it down.

CS Northridge 79 - UH 78. Fail again. Cal Poly went to Santa Barbara and beat them, so Cal Poly looks for real....
