I'm telling you.....just one! Please.....just one guard over 6-0!!!!! Not all short guards is Peyton Siva.....few are in fact. Most are below average.

Height is not a hangup with me. If a guy can play, he can play. UH tried a 6-foot-6 guy at the point this season; how did that work? A former UH recruit, 5-10 Pierre Jackson of Baylor, was this year's NIT MVP. Yes, Peyton Siva may be a rare talent, but there's a lot of skilled 6-foot guards out there. If Quincy Smith is one, sign 'em up.

Joe Jackson at Memphis and the kid at Florida Gulf Coast are pretty good. There have been a lot of under 6' PGs.

the kid can dunk. i think he'll be just fine, athletically, he can compensate.J-Rod wrote:I'm telling you.....just one! Please.....just one guard over 6-0!!!!! Not all short guards is Peyton Siva.....few are in fact. Most are below average.
When in doubt, burn it down.

I like this signing. Looks like we finally have two legit point guards with Shamburger and Smith. If they are both solid, they will upgrade the play of everyone else and the team could go a long way.

Per www.warriorinsider.com, Smith's brother signed with UNLV. I wonder if UNLV is back on our schedule next year? Plus he has two younger brothers that show promise....
