Michael Lyons got hurt in the MWC Tourney. If he's out, AFA will suck......but if he does play, look out. He wasn't 1st team all-MWC for no-reason.

How does sucking in the MWC compare to so-so in the Big West?

Pacific, the Big West champion, needed OT at home to beat Nevada, the worst team in the MWC. You can draw your own conclusions.

Air Force can score like nobody's business when Lyons is healthy. The consistently put up 85+ points at Clune Arena all year. But Lyons is the key. IF.....and I do mean IF....he is healthy, UH will be a heavy underdog. If not, the entire dynamic of that team changes. He is their Kobe Bryant.

because he's the only reason they were competitive at all and losing Lyons for them is the equivalent of losing the defense of spearman and the scoring of English in one. he's one of the best players in the west, period. he singlehandedly beat UNM. without him, they barely break 10 wins.
When in doubt, burn it down.

Video of AFA win over then #12 New Mexico: http://www.goairforcefalcons.com/allacc ... dia=365408
(Click SPORT, Click MEN'S BASKETBALL, then Click WATCH for the New Mexico game.)

Even without their star guard, Michael Lyons, the rest of the team shoots the 3's very well and often. Defending the 3's has been a nightmare this year for UH. Gib needs to have someone stick to Fletcher like glue throughout the entire game and don't even give him a chance to shoot. He's deadly from the 3-point land.

I will never understand why anything in Honolulu that's blacked out is also blacked out on the neighbor islands.

Yep. Which is why I have no sympathy for the excuses for football games. Boo fricken hoo traffic, bag checks, rowdy people, wah wah wah. If the superferry stuck around I'd have season tickets by now, no joke, I was waiting for that damn boat so I could literally drive my own car to games

If it's a locally produced game it's all about production costs and advertising dollars. It probably costs $25,000 or more to produce a basketball game. But no advertisers in their right minds would run ads on a game that will be televised only on the neighbor islands.

After a dreadful start UH is actually up 26 to 23 with 3 minutes to play in the first half.
