BTW, my Pokes play at New Mexico that night and we're currently 6-4 with a loss to San Diego of the WCC last night.
Awesome win for Gonzaga! I remember when AC Carter's UH team beat Gonzaga in the NIT a few years ago before Gonzaga became a NCAA hoops power.
The way RPI works is so funky:
The RPI formula is: (A) 1/4*(Winning Percentage) + (B) 1/2*(Opponents' Average Winning Percentage) + (C) 1/4*(Opponents' Opponents' Winning Percentage)
1. It helps UH some when St. Mary's plays Gonzaga (C)
2. It helps UH more if St. Mary's beats Gonzaga (B)
3. It would help UH astronomically if UH draws Gonzaga for the Bracketbuster game and beats them (A + B + C)
When the NCAA Selection committee selects At-Large teams, I hear they not only look at RPI, but they also look for Quality wins (e.g. Southern Illinois, St. Marys, Oral Roberts), they look at your conference record, and they also look at your road record. Thus, making this road trip so so important.
Go Bows! Beat Fresno!

I still have my fingers crossed that USC beats Oregon. Well before anything, we need to take care of business on the road.
Here it is: http://www.realtimerpi.com/rpi_Men.htmlwyokie wrote:When does the RPI get updated? I want to see how far down the Pokes are going. I don't mind losing to Arizona at their place but, losing to the Toreros of San Diego at the A-A (aka The Dome of Doom) in Laramie outright stinks!!!!!
