ORU vs. Hawaii thread

Post by warriorfan808 »

Right now, we are really stinking it up. No one seems to be able to shoot the ball.

the only thing keeping us in this game has been our D. Oral Roberts must really have the Flex down because we can't seem to get close to the basket.

Might want to get Blackett back in there. Well, everyone's turning the ball over too much, but the effort is there and that's great.

I was just watching the replay...

LOL.. Where was Bobby Nash running to? It looked like his team mates were chasing him to give him a High Five. LOL.. God, what an awesome win. We played like crap and won it. Just to think what we could do when we are really playing well.

Julian Sensley

Post by MisterPurple »

What was up with Sensley tonight? In post-game interview, Wallace mentions that they're not giving him enough touches. But even when he got the ball, he looked lost.

I'm not saying this is what was going on - don't get me wrong... but it looked as if someone was hanging something over his head. Like some gambling underworld guy instructed him to point-shave or something. He was passing up shots he would normally take, and just generally was not being very aggresive. Even on the last play of the game, he dribbled the ball up the court so non-chalantly, you would thing UH was *up* by two.

The only thing I can think of is that he was defending a guard tonight, and was obviously getting beat off the dribble. I only hope that he was tired having to run around on defense.

But still, that slow dribble up the court had me yelling at my TV. Then Nash had me yelling in a completely different emotion.

It's great to get wins, but damn, this team doesn't make anything easy. Let's hope it's a matter of a bunch of newcomers learning the system and that they'll get into a rhythm soon.

You know Mister Purple, we can finally agree on something. I thought the same thing as you. During the game, he passed up on easy layups and didn't seem agressive. The last play really opened my eyes. He was going way too slow. I think Matt Gibson saw the same thing, I believe he yelled at him at one point.

Do you remember when he drove to the basket and had a wide open layup and ended up passing it to Big Matt (who was behind the basket and had two defenders blocking him)? I don't know. I"m hoping that wasn't the case. Who knows.
