Headliners this week,

No.1 Lahainaluna and No.3 Kamehameha-Maui.

Both schools are D-II but they are beating their D-I league opponents on Maui. Still, this seems like a simple pick.
Lahaina has the much better offense and the better defense. Lunas for the win.

No.6 Kauai and No.8 Kapaa.

Kapaa seems to be the hotter team right now. Not very insightful. Just my opinion. Kapaa for the win.

Headliners this week,

No.3 Roosevelt and No.10 Kaiser,

This should be a close game. They are very similar in their offensive and defensive production. Roosevelt's QB'S seem to have a slight edge on O. The Rough Riders likewise seem to be a little better on defense. I like Roosevelt for the win.

Headliners this week,

No.2 St.Francis and No.6 Kaimuki,

This should be a great game. If the Saints' RB Aina-Chaves isready to go,I would give the ground edge to St.Francis. I think Kaimuki has more consistent QB play. The Bulldogs seem to play more mistake-free football than St.Francis does.

Both teams have big, physical lines. Looks like a wash but I do have to make a pick.....so St.Francis for the win here.

Roosevelt has improved a lot from the beginning of the season. They are now dangerous running and passing to go along with a good defense. Pearl City next.

St.Francis clinches the ILH D-II state tournament berth according to the StarAdvertiser. I think the Saints have the potential to get to the final. They seem to be a little unpolished on offense, however. That could make for rough sledding against Lahainaluna or Kauai. Kapaa proved they can be a buzz saw and cut through Kauai.

Headliners this week,

No.3 Roosevelt and No.4 Pearl City,

Roosevelt has really improved on offense and limited turnovers. The Rough Riders have a good defense. Pearl City still playing two QB'S and I think that hurts them this late in the season. Roosevelt for the win in a close game.

No.6 Konawaena and No.10 Kamehameha-Hawaii,

Both squads are hitting their stride now. The Wildcat and Warrior offenses are putting up big numbers on the scoreboard. I think Konawaena has a better defensive unit than Kamehameha-Hawaii. Konawaena for the win.

Week Ten,

1.Lahainaluna 7-0 No.5 Kamehameha-Maui next.
2.St.Francis 8-0 No.3 Roosevelt next.
3.Roosevelt 8-1 Rough Riders played a pretty complete game in the win over Pearl City.
4.Kaimuki 6-2 Bulldogs move up one place with a win.
5.Kamehameha-Maui 4-2 move up two spots from last week.
6.Kauai 5-1 DNP
7.Kapaa 4-2 Warriors move up two spots with a win.
8.Pearl City 7-3 drop four spots with the loss to Roosevelt.
9.Kamehameha-Hawaii 4-2 move up one place with a win over Konawaena.
10.Konawaena 4-3 drop four spots with the loss to Kamehameha-Hawaii.

Kauai and Kapaa are going toe to toe so far for the Garden Island slot for the state tournament. Same deal with Kamehameha-Hawaii and Konawaena for the Big Island slot.

Headliners this week,

No.1 Lahainaluna and No.5 Kamehameha-Maui,

The Warriors have progressed on offense since the first matchup, but probably not enough to do more than make the score closer in this second round game. Lahainaluna for the win.

No.2 St.Francis and No.3 Roosevelt,

Really interesting matchup here.St Francis is big, physical, and they can throw the ball as well as pound it on the ground.I think the Saints are a little sloppy with the ball on offense. They will need to watch this. Roosevelt QB Sky Ogata was on fire last week and will be a matchup problem for the Saint defense. Mitchell Camacho is getting it done on the ground more and more each week. This should be a close contest and these two teams might face off in states again. Going with St.Francis for the win.

How many state titles before you are forced to move up a division? I think that happened to Iolani a while back? Lahainaluna already has 2 back to back

St. Francis just forfeited their season.

That makes Lahainaluna the favorite. Kahuku 2010 anyone?
