Checked out the wrestling tournament at Kailua. Couldn't tell if had any interesting match ups but Campbell and Leilehua brought some tough wrestlers for the boys division. As far as the girls I think Roosevelt entered just a couple kids and Moanalua looks like they will be a tough bunch to compete against as they not only had numbers but some quality wrestlers. OIA side for boys I still have to go with either Campbell, Leilehua and Moanalua and girls probably Moanalua, Roosevelt, Pearl City, Campbell and Leilehua..
I think there are going to be some good match ups in the OIA upper weight classes between 182 and 195 with all the juniors from last year with
Respecio(CAMP) 2nd 170#
Barefoot(LELEHUA) 182# Champ
Agao(MOA)2nd 195#
Wright(CAMP)2nd 182#

CAMOGA is the slogan or the description of what a Moanalua Wrestler Strives to become which means a
COMPETETIVE
AGGRESIVE
MACHINE
OVERCOMING
GREAT
ADVERSITY
@yeahyou73: OK, so "Camoga" is an acronym. Well, that solves the 37-year-old "Moanalua Wrestling mystery" for me. Thing is, that slogan or acronym would apply to any and every school's wrestling team.

I agree that is a great acronym for wrestling in general

Congrats to the CAMOGA team in their great showing on the mainland! The respect you guys gained up there will benefit the entire state!
@OldManJenkins: So, Moanalua kicked butt there? Guess they might be contenders here too, then. (I still would prefer to call them Na Menehune, like all of Moanalua's other sports teams. Moanalua also calls its teams the 'Menes,' which of course is short for 'Menehunes.' 'Menehunes' is grammatically incorrect in Hawaiian, but obviously the school isn't going to split hairs about it. It still means the same thing.)

Any interesting results from any of the past couple of weekends?
Freshman Brandon Pagurayan looked tough taking it to Tavares from Radford (although Tavares bumped up from 138 to wrestle him at 145). Anybody know what was with the big delay at Waipahu? Only got through two rounds of matchups.

What was the score?
Don't remember off the top of my head, but it wasn't a two point match or anything.
