It was a very late night of wrestling. I just wanted give a major gut check award to Jayson Pagurayan. I was watching his match with Casey Nitta when in the 2nd period Pagurayan was placed in a leg ride. I'm not precisely sure what happened but Pagurayan let out a gut wrenching scream that everyone could here. I'm amazed that he was able to finish this match and went on to win his semi's and make it to the finals. Although he lost to Garcia in the finals it doesn't reflect on the toughness he displayed just to get there. When a wrestler walks to the mat in crutches, does battle and then leaves in crutches what else can you say but damn!

With that being said I think we should applaud Garcia also for showing some class for showing some refrain for his opponent. Even though some fans were screaming for him to "kill him" Garcia literally stopped when he felt his opponent was injured. Garcia has never beaten this kid but when he could have literally "wiped him out" he elected to show come class. Lots of maturity on his part

100% agreed. I was sitting towards the entrance and I heard a lot of screaming during the finals match but I didn't realize people were screaming "wipe him out". I'm really glad Garcia took the high road and didn't do it. These idiots who yell poop like that are real jackasses.

I don't know about Futa, but Carlson had a season ending injury at the beginning of the season.

Bold calls, especially at 145 boys. Ballesteros LAN to make it through a bracket with Carreiro, Nitahara, and Wusstig.

Yes sir, you're exactly right on my picks. Thats why I go to Vegas for the food :-

BTW, From what I was told Futa was injured at practice and wasn't able to recover in time. Tehani Carlson had an ACL injury that ended her season.

There is a very nice article in the Star Advertiser on Angela Peralta. It's good to see our wrestlers getting the notoriety they deserve!

Good luck to the Pagurayans! Hope Jayson recovers for States. We have competed against them for over 10yrs judo and wrestling. Fierce competition over the years, but the Pagurayan Ohana has always displayed class, mutual respect, and sportsmanship.
