The key is the passing offense of Konawaena against the passing defense of Lahainaluna. The Wildcats average around 270 per game through the air,while the Lunas only give up around 51 per game through the air.Might be wrong, but I think Lahainaluna faces fewer passing teams in the MIL than Konawaena does in the BIIF.

Being well rested is one thing, but to face a Lahainaluna style offense that the BIIF seldom sees will require discipline on defense. If Kona starts strong and is able to slow Luna's running game, they can pull it out. If not, I have the Luna's taking this one.

@gopunahou: I wonder whether Lahainaluna could beat Iolani this year, if the two did play each other. I heard that Iolani's D-line is fairly big this year (it was also fairly big last year). Interesting that Iolani has had a decent-sized D-line two years in a row; that's pretty unusual for them. Maybe that's why their D is pretty good this year, too.

Lahainaluna lost in pre-season to Kapaa, something like 28-0. But they have improved over the course of season and I hope its a great championship game.

Kapaa beat Lahainaluna in interleague play. The Lunas have greatly improved up to this point but they have had farther to go. The Warriors were expected to be good from the start ,and they have been.
