Milton decommits, commits to UCF
Re: Milton commits to UCF
Good luck to him. I never thought he was the answer. The whole program is being rebuilt. One very good HS QB is not going to make or break our future. I am more concerned about the overall trend of keeping polynesian talent at home. Rolo will bring in some WRs, QBs, and defensive backs from the mainland to complement what we got. And we will have skilled players stay home as the program improves. I think Rolo's strength will be in developing unrecognized talent.

Yep! Can't get 'em all but it's true, no solid until you sign. Let's just hope the dominoes don't begin to fall with decommits. Oh well! The fun of LOI season. Hana pa'a Coach!

Re: Milton commits to UCF
knew this was coming once rednblue reported that Milton visited UCF this past week. no coincidence that Rolo then offered 2 QBs. glad Rolo had some contingency plans in place.

I really don't count on any recruits until they're in class. Gotta go to class before you can see the field.
Good luck to Milton.
Good luck to Milton.

You have to compete no matter where you go.
Not doubting, not hating, not loving, just hoping because I am a fan.

Milton was a Chow recruit who Rolo chose to honor. He is listed at 5'11" but is really about 5'10".

Re: Milton decommits, commits to UCF
Saw picture of Milton with Coach Frost who is 6'3", he looks real small, 5'10" max. Good luck to him!
Re: Milton decommits, commits to UCF
Just my opinon: Frost "supposedly" was a factor for Milton because he "developed" Mariota. Mariota was developed by Mark Helfrich (QB coach/OC Marcus' 1st two years @ Oregon). Frost this year did well with Vernon Adams (guess who his QB coach at EWU was?) and all the other Oregon QBs that they developed that played this year were HORRIBLE!!
Anyways, best of luck to Milton. He feels this is the best situation for him, although I have my doubts about Frost's ability to develop Qbs. At least he made it known a couple weeks before signing day.

That may be why. Not feeling the love from Rolo.Optimus wrote:Milton was a Chow recruit who Rolo chose to honor.
Didn't Jones had a hot-shot QB coming in to UH during the Sugar Bowl Year? When Jones left, he decomit from UH and followed Jones to SMU.
Anyone recall what's his name (and how he did at SMU?)

IIRC he did ok. Then he transferred to either E or W Washington when SMU go a transfer. I forget his name though.cabanalane wrote:That may be why. Not feeling the love from Rolo.Optimus wrote:Milton was a Chow recruit who Rolo chose to honor.

Bo Levi Mitchell. He played first two years at SMU. Started all his first year, did OK considering everything. Second year started most of the year, struggled, got benched, maybe was hurt, never got job back and transferred to EWU. And he did well there and won the FCS National Championship. Now is in the CFL with the Calgary Stampeders where he won the Grey Cup and was the MVP of the game.cabanalane wrote:That may be why. You win the Grey Cup and you should at least get a look by the NFL. Thanks for the update.EITSwarrior wrote:Bo Levi Mitchell. He played first two years at SMU.
