State Semi's: Farrington vs. OIA west all-stars

Post by huki-lau-lau »

Its already a fact that the mililani team is made up with players from all over the leeward side so all you ILH peeps that wanted 2 ILH teams in the tourny here is your poor mans ILH "recruit stacked" team.

their first meeting i said that okimoto has to use kahuku formula to smashmouth and kill clock. farr D is not as strong as kahukus and will not shut down mill offense like how kahuku did so the farrington offense will need to be their best defense, keep mill o off the field. govs can smash mouth but true to form okimooto no mo da big bolos like reggie and siuaki to ignore popular opinion and just be run, run, run, pumpfake run, pump fake run, pumpfake2x run, bomb td!

ILH recruit stacked OIA west all-stars 35 - Farr 21

lol. too funny.
agree, Govs D not as good as Big Red's. If their D could hold Trojan's to 21 pts or under, Gov's have enough mass on O to wear down Trojan D, which could lead to big explosions by Mamiya and their Sophomore running back. Unfortunately, falling behind big and early causes Okimoto and crew to scrap smashmouf.

I think OIA West all-stars in this one.

Not sure if anyone noticed but Mililani's linemen on offense and defense all seem to be pancaking their weight on opponents that have fallen to the ground no matter where they are on the field. I know its legal and part of the game but most of the time the intent is to injure the opposing player. Rex Manu did it to Kesi ahoy after his 15 yd run, came from behind and did a Jimmy Snuka, totally unnecessary and looked like the intent to injure.

You ask me and I say the coaches are teaching them to do this because its more of a calculated tactic. I have noticed that Farrington and Kahuku defensive backs also come in late to pancake a downed runner but its more of an emotional "in the moment" move by that one player rather then a calculated tactic being taught to the players.

Mililani wins this game easy

Actually Farrington has a massive oline and they can win if they can run the clock and score one every possession. I know is easier said than done but it can happen.

In all seriousness. Farrington minus Mamiya has no chance of beating Mililani. They do not have the offensive firepower to beat them. Faamatau is a good RB but without Mamiya to make the big plays, you wont see Farrington putting up more than two touchdowns without him.

Mililani 35- Farrington 20

And for the record everyone wants to go to Punahou, St Louis, Mililani, Waialua cause far better EDUCATION then the one on the North Shore. Hahahahahaha lmao

I think the Govs play this one a little tighter than the last time but the Trojan man prevails.

Trojans- 34
Govs- 23

As a fan I'm ashamed that we would use that as an excuse. We should have more than enough talent in the well to draw from. But then again that is another topic of discussion. :-

go look on facebook and you will see fans from all public schools pointing the finger at mililani. coach okimoto from farrington even came out publicly lastyear about mililani. Kauai coaches pointing the finger at kaiser and stlouis for recruiting away their talent.

where would this world be without watchdogs? u guys over in the UHfootball forum are the biggest group of watchdog haters on the hometeam.

The fact that York recruits shouldn't surprise anyone. He graduated from Iolani, which recruits the most. His staff includes graduates of schools that recruit heavily as well.
