^^^Well one community may not have a problem with light, it doesn't mean another won't have a problem with them.

Relax it just a fun discussion of what we'd like to see if funds were available for such things. And we're not talking anything excessive like those in Texas. Just ones that the community can be proud of.fanoffb wrote:Perhaps the emphasis should be placed upon getting every student equal resources needed for their education rather than starting an arms' race with stadiums. It is important for fields and any school infrastructure to be safe and usable however it seems like we should be careful about what is emphasized more.

The St. Louis field is DomoTurf.....same as Leilehua HS.....and Ching Field and Murakami Stadium @ UH-Manoa.....except that the Saint Louis field has green colored rubber pellets instead of more typical black rubber pellets.HS Football Fanatic wrote:And here's the thing: With St Louis' astroturf--or whatever they call it that they have--St Louis has a better field than do Moanalua, Iolani, Punahou, and Kamehameha.
Other than Moanalua HS, personally been on all the other fields in the past year.....and would say IMHO that the fields at Iolani, Punahou, and Kamehameha.....as well as Lahainaluna, Mililani, Roosevelt, and Castle are in at least as good a condition or even better than Saint Louis.

MENOMONEE FALLS – There's still quite a bit of time left before the start of football season.
Folks here in Menomonee Falls are already looking ahead to the Fall.
Administrators at Menomonee Falls High School are pushing for some major upgrades at Schumann Stadium, but they need the public's help.
Athletics and activities director Ryan Anderson wants to remove the traditional grass playing field and replace it with ‘turf.’ Grass, he explained, causes issues during the season.
“If we get rained on, we have one game early on, it's torn up for the rest of the year," Anderson explained.
The school district spends $3,000 each year on watering the playing field. When it’s not being used for football, it’s roped off from the public and other students.
