Kapolei OLine put too much hype on themselves in the preseason but after five games into the season I'm afraid to say all that size doesn't amount to much. Rex Manu alone ate that line up when they played Mililani a few weeks ago. The smaller defensive players just run right by those huge tackles. If they weren't 1-4 and averaging only 14 points a game I would give the OLine more credit but with other teams flourishing out there the canes need to put out more results.

Yeah, Manu is a beast. I'd love to see him take-on Punahou's O-line; you figure they're smaller than Kapolei's. But, they still might be better.

1a. Milton McKenzie (QB, Mililani)
Looks to be even better than he was last year. Opening up the offense and finding the open receivers. Dangerours leader for the Trojans for this year and next.

1b. Kanawai Noa (WR, Punahou)
I think its a tie between Noa and McKenzie, because they both mean so much to their offenses. There isnt a DB in the state that could cover Noa 1 on 1

3. Rex Manu (DL, Mililani)
The BEST D-Lineman in the state. I dont care who might be a "five star" they dont have the film to back it up like Manu does.

4. Vavae Malepeai (RB, Mililani)
Best running back. No doubt the 3 M's(Malepeai, Milton, Manu) have the best chance to knock off the defending champs. Doesnt get much credit with the resurgence of Milton, but another big year for Malepeai.

5. Ranaan Mamiya (ATH, Farrington)
Didnt get much credit for his work at Saint Francis, but you can see what he can do with an offensive line capable of blocking. Farrington might be a .500 team if he had not transferred over.

6. Fred Ulu-Perry (OL, St. Louis)
Best offensive lineman recruit out of the entire state. Sad that the team hasnt put it together yet, but he will be a name to be remembered.

7. Mika Tafua (DL, Kamehameha Kapalama)
Kamehameha doesnt get much credit because they havent played any Hawaii teams worth talking about, till last night. He is a real pass rusher always capable of getting to the quarterback.

8. Ronley Lakalaka (LB, Punahou)
One of the leaders on the defensive side for a DEEP punahou defense. Makes play all over the field.

9. Solomon Matautia (DB, Campbell)
Probably the best safety out of the state hands down in my opinion. He is also a threat in the return game.

10. Canton Kaumatule (DL, Punahou)
Never healthy, but he could easily be at the top of the list simply off of measurables. Great talent, just havent seen much production in the past two years because of his injuries.
