HHSAA 2014 state Baseball championships

Post by reignjah11 »

This seems to be the baseball thread so I'll post this here...

Looking forward to tomorrow's game between Waiakea and St. Louis. It's gonna be a heck of a pitching duel between arguably the 2 best pitchers in the state in Medeiros and Yamamoto.

think you may be right but there seems to be a lot of parity. If the game is close, Mililani will need to play relaxed. Don't like their history of playing tight in big games (last year's state title game, yesterday's game against MPI where they let MPI back in the game in the last inning).

^yup plus St. Louis should have Yamamoto available for relief which could be a factor in a close game too. I just think St. Louis is the better team overall, played the tougher road but mililani has a chance if they can continue to get solid pitching and clutch hits with risp.

1) I feel old when I hear all these little league players' names popping up
2) Well Mililani played good last year. If it wasn't for that botched bunt in the last inning, they would've won
3) But damn, Mililani had all their top pitchers available and I guess they just didn't have their stuff tonight
4) Congrats to Coach Gusman!
5) Well at least Mililani was able to win softball states this year. Sucks that they lost football and baseball and even with baseball being the second year in a row. But still, congrats to them. I didn't really think they'd make it here again but they did

Great job by the Crusader pitching staff.
Only 11 hits and 1earned run in four games.
