What is Kaiser high school thinking? Chad Ikei out at Kaiser

Guys, he got fired because he was charging to use Kaisers gym, which is at a public school. You cannot profit from a public facility without notice to said facility, he knew this. Kaiser found out and they had to let him go.

Kaiser High School Principal John Sosa retired at the end of the year, three months after the state Department of Education placed him on leave as it conducted an internal investigation.

Sosa, who led the Hawaii Kai high school since 2008, was placed on paid leave in late September, but DOE officials said at the time that the department could not comment on any details of the investigation.

The following month, Kaiser employees said privately that two other employees in the school's office had been placed on leave and that files were seized -- details that the DOE also said it could not confirm at the time

Chad Ikei did help kamehameha's football team with their strength program several seasons ago. That season they won the state championship.

You guys are all wrong. The Weight room at kaiser was shut down because of the on going investigation of the former principle for mis appropriation of funds. There for kaiser could not renew the use of facility lease with Chad Ikei and other facility users cross fit etc. Kaisers new Weight Room is closed to all users and will be until the investigation is complete. Also Tommy Fisher is still at kaiser. And Chad would never tell anyone not to lift at that kuliouou gym. Probably a misunderstanding or you just making up crap

That sounds odd that they would shut down a weight room cause they are investigating the principal for misappropriation of funds, unless, there was something in the purchase of equipment that was part of the investigation. Maybe the "new" weight room was an illegal donation?

Bruddah, you all wrong. Yes, Sosa is being investigated, and Ikei is involved, but the reason he had to leave was because he had his personal clients (which he banks off of) on Kaiser's campus DURING SCHOOL! And, Ikei stole all the brand new equipment HE got for KAISER HIGH SCHOOL, not his personal usage for his clients. He left all his old stuff. That is wrong. And that is the facts. I work for Kaiser High School. And that boy he told couldn't go to the Perry's in Kuliouou, he is my nephew. And Ikei told him that he could "affect his playing time" if he trained there. Fisher is still at Kaiser, he is living with the new SPED English teacher there, Rich Miano. Bottom line is the Principal was a win at all costs kind of guy, did what he had to get a winning program athletically and academically, and look now. The reigning principal of the year is now fired, sorry, I meant retired. And the investigation is still going on.............

If you work at the school, you should know the by laws of the use of facilities program. Ikei would fall under one of three types of uses allowed by the DOE. I will post the link to the DOE's web page tonight.

Anyone can apply to use a public school facility even if it is a business even during school hours if it doesn't interfere with school activities. If the paperwork were all in order, there would be no investigation. The fact that there is an investigation suggests that there were discrepancies and that things just didnt add up. You are correct though, companies may apply and use facilities during or after school hours to conduct business and make money, (Hawaii 5-0 was just filming at Roosevelt). But if you give preference, discriminate, or misreport information, you gottah take the punishment you are given.
