They're playing Brooklawn, NJ right now and it's tied 2-2 in the bottom of the 8th. You can follow action on ESPN3 or Live Stats here.
Waipahu is made up of mostly Waipahu, Pearl City, and Moanalua high school players, and then some others from other schools.

Ope. Now they're losing 3-2. Top of the 9th. Last chance for them. I believe it's double elimination, though. The NJ pitcher has 11 strike outs

But Drake Yoshioka (Waipahu) just hit a triple to tie it and then Bryce Yasui (Moanalua) singled to take the lead going into bottom of the 9th.

Edit: NJ tied it in the 9th but probably should have won but one guy scored but didn't touch home plate so he was out instead. Top of the 10th now

Barring some kind of miracle comeback, looks like Waipahu is gonna win this one. They'll play winner of Brooklawn, NJ and Gonzalez, LA tomorrow sometime.

Sad that no one really cares about high school baseball when Hawaii is a baseball state.

They're playing for the American Legion World Series tomorrow against either Brooklawn, NJ again, or Petaluma, CA. They're LB champs so they gotta win twice to tomorrow to take it home.

I'm pretty surprised by this team. IMO I thought the two previous Waipahu teams had more talent but they never made it as far as this team.

Besides NJ, i havent been impressed with any of the other teams hawaii had played. Heck even NJ was a bit shaky on their defense too. i cannot believe the amount of errors being made at this stage of competition. hawaii just gotta continue to play fundamental baseball and i think they have a good chance to win it all despite coming from in the losers bracket.

Waipahu defeats Louisiana 5-4 in 11 innings! Plays California tomorrow at 11am then winner plays New Jersey about 30min after for the championship. All games shown on espn3.com Go Waipahu!

8-2 California final, Waipahu eliminated. Tough game, they got guys on base early but couldn't cash in. Also some uncharacteristic errors lead to some big runs. Overall great season for these guys, they went a lot farther than I expected.

Waipahu does it again! In similar fashion to last year, Waipahu lost their opening round game and then won 5 straight to win the northwest regional. World Series start Thursday but I believe Waipahu plays on Friday 2pm our time. All games can be seen on watchespn.com

Waipahu beats Tennessee, 14-1 in 7! (10 run rule) Plays California tomorrow at 11am hawaii time on espn 3 (watchespn app).

Waipahu wins again! Defeats California 8-1. Clinched a spot in semi finals on Monday. Plays Nebraska tomorrow at 2pm as part of pool play (both teams advance regardless who loses, playing for top seed in west division).
