Here's a link to Maui News for the MIL race yesterday:

Girls: Grossman won the individual title but the Hpa girls edged out Seabury by one point to claim the team title.
Boys: Nicola Perez-Garreaud won the boys title and led Maui High to the team title as well.

Re: 2011 High School Cross Country
Any input as to why the varsity results from the Kaiser Invite are not available?
Re: 2011 High School Cross Country
There was actually another Maui High boy that took 5th in front of Nicolai Scharer
Re: 2011 High School Cross Country
Any takes on who should be the top contenders for the team titles? Boys and girls?
Re: 2011 High School Cross Country
No way anybody will beat the Punahou girls.
As for the boys, there could be one of 5 teams that win. Right now Leilehua looks like the strongest team and they will be tough to beat. However, Pearl City has a strong top 5 (all under 17:20), Mililani could break up some packs or move up themselves, Iolani looks strong but they need to close the gap between their #1 and everyone else, Maui High has a strong #s 1-3 but it remains to be seen what the 4 & 5 can do, and Hawaii Baptist has a good top 5 as well, with little spacing between each of them.
It might come down to who is healthy and who can handle the course at Kapalua. Anybody else care to weigh in!?
