Re: 2010 Cross Country
Kautech usually does a good job of posting results from around the state. That would probably be your best bet for keeping track of the races.

They don't have anything up for this year yet but hopefully by this weekend that will change.

Re: 2010 Cross Country
who has results for the Leilehua 2 mile time trial?
Re: 2010 Cross Country
The Leilehua Time trial was done old-school, with stopwatches and numbered finish line cards, so don't expect instantaneous results! The Mililani site (http://milhsxc.com) mentions the meet and has some pictures and probably will have some videos later today (or at http://www.youtube.com/milhstrack). I believe Martinez (Leilehua) finished first with about 10:30, 5:10 at the half. Pugliese (Mililani) was the first girl with about 12:25. When the video is posted you may be able to get a rough idea of places and times for the other runners.

Re: 2010 Cross Country
The time trial at Pearl City this weekend will be first real race so we can see how things will really pan out. I predict that Leilehua will win and Pearl City will come in with a close second, followed by Millilani. Leilehua has a stacked team but both PC and Millilani can compete with them well. I think the results will be drastically different from the 2 mile time trial due to many more runners, 3 mile course, and steep uphill and downhills.
Re: 2010 Cross Country
Was that a fast course this past weekend at Leilehua? Not to take anything away from the runners, but those times on the boys and girls side seemed very fast. Even the times in the middle of the pack were pretty impressive.
Re: 2010 Cross Country
Been to Leilehua a few times. The course is two hills- one steep hill on the first loop and one long hill (1/4 mile) on the reverse loop. But keep in mind that those are the top teams in the OIA (Castle, Roosevelt out of the east and Leilehua, Mililani and Pearl City out of the west) plus it was only two miles. I saw the video and alot of runners were wearing t-shirts, surf shorts and trainers.

Dakota Grossman ran a 19:56 at Maui season opener
Re: 2010 Cross Country
FYI: According to the coconut-wireless, Nicola Perez-Garreaud quit on his cross country team this year. Should work out well for other teams. Especially those in the MIL.

Re: 2010 Cross Country
Pierce Murphy, 15:59, takes 1st, by over two minutes ahead of 2nd place, at the Waimea XC Invitational. Hot and hilly course. And yes, Margirito is two years, minus two weeks, older then Pierce. The race has started. Good luck to both of them.
Re: 2010 Cross Country
Don't believe everything you read in the forums ... Pierce Murphy blazes 5:23 avg mile for the win (16:10) at Waimea XC Invitational ... full results at http://www.alohatrack.com (the Hawaii MileSplit affiliate)
