Football 2010, Top Players by Position: Offensive Line

Post by HRC Paul »

This is an area where many outstanding players are at more than one position over the course of the season. Please specify which position(s) your top players line up at.

Blaze Ryder - C (Kamehameha)
Paulay Asiata - G/T (St.Louis)
Afi Grieg - G/T (St.Louis)
Jamal Napeahi - OL (Kahuku)
Tiras Koon - (Iolani)
Kelii Kopp - (St.Louis)
Pono Kalua - G (Moanalua)

There are more but these are a few that kind of stood out that I can remember their names at various camps during the summer(All Poly, UH, etc.) and play from last year.

Sorry about that. I saw him a few times at Brian Derby's Camp and assumed he was a guard and thought he may have been a tackle.

Where is Thee? I heard that Harrison Kanehailua is at Kailua. Word is that Kaimuki has a large Oline this season.

I would also add that Reeve Koehler (T) Saint Louis is looking really good at practice. I believe he will start this year.

My prediction for the starting five looks like this:

LT Houston Clemente
LG Kelii Copp
C Afi Greig
RG Paulay Asiata
RT Reeve Koehler

If anything, Copp and Asiata may switch or they may move Clemente inside.

It could be one heck of a line.

Ok, no "TOP" players, but my friend who teaches at Farrington said they have Twins who are sophomores that will be playing RG and LG... They are both around 6'2'' - 6'3'' 250lbs and growing...
I think he said their last name is Boyd....

Anyone heard of them?

Manuia Ioane
Center 5 10 250
Kapolei High School

Watched both scrimmages against Castle and Kahuku and he totally dominated the opposing defensive linemen....
Nosegaurd Dallin Muti(Kahuku) struggled going against him...
Height may be an issue but kid can seriosly block...

Another kid from Kapolei is gaurd Samson Kaleikini...

+100 i heard Manu is Kapoleis only returning starter, seen the game against Waipahu on tv and remembered how he did vs the 6'8" NT Waipahu had. Manu is the real deal to bad he's short but he makes up with it with his heart. great kid and great talent.

Kaimuki had a good sized O-line in their scrimmage last Thursday. Their JV O-line must be the rumored line. They were huge! If they can stay healthy they will be just fine in the White division. Their numbers were kind of small. Chester Sua looked pretty good.

Ioane's height may be an issue for NCAA Div 1 (FBS), but that height is just fine for high school ball! Especially at the center spot.
