Went back and looked at the results for officials. Not sure why Campbell doesn't get more respect on this thread. They came in way ahead of the other OIA teams with Santos coming in 6th and Terukina placing 5th...

Like I said earlier, I think they can win with 4-5 finalists and about 10 placers.

sorry I was there but couldn't possibly retain all that info. have not seen any official posting of the results.

Hawaii Prep site is posting State seeds "live"

FYI...the seeding criteria is as follows:
League champions will be put into the mix for the top four seeds and then the following criteria will be used:

1. Head to head
2. Common tournament, higher placer in same bracket
3. Last year’s state placing in weight class
4. Last year’s state placing
5. Common opponent, focus on losses
6. Vote
7. Coin flip

So a guy that gets 5th in state last year in the weight class will be higher than a 2x top 3 guy out of the weight class. Seems fair...

Looking at the girls 97 bracket Navarro LAH gets #2 seed over Hoshino PUN #3 but didn't Hoshino place higher on tournaments also returning state champion. Did Hoshino lose to Navarro cause if memory serves me right Hoshino took 2nd at officials and Paani above Navarro but lost to Tameng ROS #1 seed. Was that a mistake?

#2 & #3 is a wash they will normally be on the same side backet.

I dont like the idea of focusing on loses, I rather see the kid who wrestles all year be rewarded. Example: Teniya Alo

You wrestle two matches all year and you are the number one seed? The wrestler who wrestles all year long should be awarded, that should be in the critteria
