Though Takata has reported that Tedford is the man for the job, the Fresno Bee's Marek Warszawski says it is not a done deal:

Tim Deruyter fired

Lucky you live Hawaii! I wonder what that means to Fresno State on the schedule for Hawaii this year?

Re: Tim Deruyter fired
At the time when DeRuyter and Chow were hired, I thought that UH got the short end of the stick. Fresnecks have a much bigger payout than UH did.

Norm Chow should be available.

Re: Tim Deruyter fired
I think Derek Carr got most of the wins for Deruyter. Trust me, there is nothing in Fresno, just farmland and gangs. Fresno might have richer farmers and ranchers but Hawaii's got a hell of a lot more to offer. I can't understand why recruits would pick Fresno State over the other schools including Hawaii. I hope the OC does not do better than Deruyter. Hawaii needs a lower stress game than they've been having.

Re: Tim Deruyter fired
So, maybe this is my own rant but why, WHY does the Honolulu Star Advertiser print an article that says that Tim Deruyter was the highest paid coach before being fired and Coach Rolo is the lowest paid? I think its a given that Rolo deserves a raise but this is his first head coaching gig. What is the point of the Honolulu Star Advertiser article? That they know how to google? That Rolo should get a raise? That they didn't have anything to print about football other than coaching salaries during football season?

Tedford? Well that's a few more million. How does Fresno afford that?BigWave96744 wrote:http://www.yardbarker.com/mobile/conten ... 7_22207633Report: Jeff Tedford to be next Fresno State head coach
