Re: Zak Hill leaving?
At least we know that loyalty & commitment still means something to our new American Samoa commitments......something that Zak obviously doesn't understand nor care about......

Re: Zak Hill leaving?
at least when Rolo pulled out of the UMass job, he didn't leave for a conference rival...
Re: Zak Hill leaving?
Rolo should call his old coach, George Rush, to help out for a year and see where things are after the upcoming season...

read this thread maybe a half hour ago, then went back to doing work. Several minutes into doing something else I noticed the kanye song gold digger was stuck in my head for some reason and had no clue why. when I came back to this thread and saw this post, I laughed cuz it must have embedded itself in my head even though I don't remember reading the comment.My3Cats wrote:Zak Hill = Gold Digger?

I feel the same way... one season. They could easily get on the same page ... Rush is used to coaching and calling for a less than ideal group of players as he has come from a JuCo.. But he knows how to win and win often... I forget how many undefeated seasons he's had... A year in Hawaii for his wife of so many years wouldn't be all that bad, either.poidog wrote:Rolo should call his old coach, George Rush, to help out for a year and see where things are after the upcoming season...

I generally do not begrudge people who seek other opportunities, especially in the coaching profession and with assistant coaches in particular. It can be one and done at no fault of your own if the head coach is canned. However, there is a right way and a wrong way of doing things. The timing of this move - a week before NLI Day - is what makes it lame to me. We want coaches who are fully committed and focused on their job. We're probably better off not having a 100% committed and focused OC. And don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Zack Hill to Boise
Looks like we just lost our OC to Boise State.
Not doubting, not hating, not loving, just hoping because I am a fan.

That is messed up...no integrity whatsoever. Bring in JJ as OC. We'll be better off.
