UNLV defensive line coach Joe Seumalo has accepted the same position under Arizona State coach Todd Graham, according to sources.
.
.
.
A strong recruiter, Seumalo was San Jose State’s defensive line coach in 2005 and coached the same position at Cal Poly from 2001-04. He was a graduate assistant coaching defensive ends and assisting with special teams at his alma mater, Hawaii, from 1999 through 2000.

In 1999, he served as a guest coach for the Indoor Professional Football League’s Hawaii Hammerheads. That was after five years as an assistant at Kaiser High in his native Honolulu, a stint that also included being a guest coach for the CFL’s British Columbia Lions in 1996.

Why did he leave Oregon State for UNLV? I can understand leaving UNLV for Arizona State.

Don't know why but there was a coaching change where some of the Oregon State coaches went to Nebraska. He did not go with them. Maybe the new coach did not retain him?
Not doubting, not hating, not loving, just hoping because I am a fan.

Good for Joe. I hope he learns a lot, maybe his next step after this is DC at UH.

[quote="808"]Why did he leave Oregon State for UNLV?

From what I understand he wanted to stay close to the west coast instead of heading inland to Nebraska.
