That certainly is surprising. I wonder if he was upset that it was going to be a open competition

I don't get why the coaches did not play the other remaining quarterbacks on the roster. Did they already know that he was not going to be a starter in his senior year so they gave him the most exposure to other schools?

Didn't see this coming. Big opportunity for Moussa since he'll participate in spring practice and gain invaluable experience learning the system. Cordeiro will get his chances in summer camp. He has experience with Ron Lee's version of the RNS. UH's version will be much more extensive especially with the number of plays, but the principles and some of the terminology are the same.

I am assuming he already has somewhere to go? Any way good luck Dru. Thanks for being a warrior.

They come, they go, we stay.

Let the competition begin. Let’s see who wants it.

maybe he got tired of all the people on Tsai's blog bashing him every day. Either way, I'm glad he's graduating and leaving on his own terms.

2018 will be interesting, if nothing else...

I read that blog from time to time, its hard to take some of the people there. It seems you have to go to one of their parties to be accepted there. Anyways, Good luck to Dru!

One of my favorite UH games I've witnessed in person was that Hawaii Bowl. Dru will not be forgotten!

From the Advertiser
Citing family reasons, University of Hawaii starting quarterback Dru Brown has requested — and received — a release from his football scholarship.

Brown told the Honolulu Star-Advertiser he will earn a degree after UH’s first summer session. After that, he will be eligible to transfer without redshirting.

Brown said the decision was based on a desire to be closer to his family in Northern California. Brown’s grandfather died during the holiday break.

I wonder where he will end up. He was great during the Hawaii bowl season but he definitely took a step back last season I will defend him by saying he didn’t have much help last season. Hopefully Cole or one of the freshman can step up and lead us to a winning season next year. Best of luck Dru
