None of the other schools are real options. If he is leaving UH because of education (and giving up his current status with UH Football), then Vanderbilt is it. It's now about not getting hurt or a concussion. Football scholarship is just to pay for school. Collie is planing to wear a uniform and ride the bench, no?

A Vandy scholie? At first blush, it would seem to be a no brainer. A Vanderbilt degree would be quite the feather in the academic cap. However, if he is pursuing a two or more year post-grad degree, Vandy would be a huge financial drain after the scholarship year. Tough call.

After his one and done as a player, he will talk his way into a Grad Assistant position on the team. Tuition waiver. More winning for Collie.

Collie said his choice after fielding offers from several schools will be either BYU or Vanderbilt. The only stipulation Hawaii and coach Nick Rolovich imposed is that Collie cannot transfer to another Mountain West school.

Really? Why not? Because he's going to tell the MWC team about the predictability of the UH offense? Are Brian Smith and Craig Stutzmann so lame?

Dylan Collie has been doing fairly well at BYU. Good for him and his wife. He had one reception for 25 yard in the first game and two receptions in the second game for 22 yards but also did an end around twice running and gained -1 and 9 yards. So, he seems to be successful in a place where he is most comfortable in calling home in Mormon country.
