6-5, 225 TE Luke Wilson Offered

Post by uhwarriors »

After TE prospects Reinwald, Moraga and possibly Taufaasau have committed elsewhere, UH has offered 6-5, 225 TE Luke Wilson of Portland, OR. He's a basketball player who only played football this year. He committed to Portland State last week. But UH after offered him he decommitted from Portland State..

“Lucas is a hidden gem. He would be a 4 or 5 star recruit if he played football his whole career. He is a great kid, he is coachable, and no one in the northwest has his combination of hands, size, strength, speed, and athleticism. He has all of the tools to potentially play in the NFL someday” AJ Robinson – Head Coach

Personally, I might like this guy over the others - lots of potential

Totally agree. Very athletic - basketball videos show a PG who cans treys, grabs defensive boards and dunks. He also blocks - the man-type blocks instead of the slap fight kind that some WRs engage in. Although we would be getting ahead of ourselves by comparing him to other basketball players who became great TEs like Tony Gonzalez and Antonio Gates, I can see that spark.

I agree also. Hope we get him. Would help us forget Reinwald.

Powerful and explosive long athlete with big upside. Might be a goner if in-state Pac 12 school offers.

There was a tight end whom UH offered. He seemed interested until he claimed Oregon or Oregon State might make an offer. They didn’t. He’s out of luck. Hey, when they yell “all aboard,” you’d better make sure you have a ticket somewhere. This isn’t Stub Hub.

One thing about him I don't like is that he catches with his body.
