Looks like a powerful , lower center of gravity DL. Once he works on hand placement, improves his footwork, gains strength/endurance , he could be a huge improvement on the DL @ UH.
One note, stay low. These D1 guys will blow you up if you don't stay low.

Currently 6'3" 305 lbs. Wishes to report at 285 lbs. Things are looking real good on interior DL for the Warriors.

SDSU Aztecs trying poach Mermea. Might be tempting for Mermea to flip from UH since the SDSU campus is only about a 1 hour drive from his hometown.

Hoping he stays committed as him and Russell have potential to be good inside defenders, or if not that, they will provide much needed depth at a critical position. We'll see in 2 days... Go Bows!

Hate to sound arrogant, but we shouldn't miss on any Murrieta guys who's only other offers are SJSU, USU and Hawaii. Question is why did we wait so long? Were we hoping for another DT? Were we saving a spot for Flowers/Williams/Roddick that fell through? I had high hopes going into this weekend, and they've kinda sputtered away. Hoping for a bang on signing day. Still great class, but we're soooo close to being a GREAT class. From sdsu
