Hopefully UH will re-recruit WR Adarrus Wilson (Morningside HS, Ca.)........who had committed to UH back in mid-September (along with Hoskins) but flipped his commitment to San Jose State in mid-November (with the uncertainty of the UH coaching staff after Chow got fired)......now that Coach Abe was his original point recruiter for UH......while the San Jose State point recruiter just left to join the Arizona Wildcat program.....

Hopefully this will also open up the recruitment of Crenshaw HS SB/KR/PR prospect Marquis Lawson (a former UCLA commit) for UH by Abe (a former Crenshaw HS star and assistant coach).....

Either the offer from previous staff was pulled or a grayshirt offer.Duster wrote:Weber State? Was he asked to grayshirt of something?

Naeole was Hoskins' point recruiter.uhwarriors wrote:Either the offer from previous staff was pulled or a grayshirt offer.Duster wrote:Weber State? Was he asked to grayshirt of something?
Another possibility is.....that Hoskins has his fill of Hawaii during his trip the previous week with the Northern California all-star team that played in the JPS Paradise Classic games at Aloha Stadium......and/or realized that Hawaii wasn't for him in the long run......that we would rather experience winter and snow in Utah.

That's what I'm thinking, from the sounds of his tweet.uhwarriors wrote:Either the offer from previous staff was pulled or a grayshirt offer.Duster wrote:Weber State? Was he asked to grayshirt of something?

I've always thought that the "paradise" recruiting line was a bit overblown. When a West Coast kid commits to Hawaii, it's as if they are committing to an East Coast program (distance-wise) which in and of itself is fairly uncommon. Couple that with Hawaii's relative isolation and cultural differences, and it takes a unique person to commit to Hawaii for four years. The choice is much more simple for local kids going the other way. They have two options: stay home or travel far and adapt. Mainland kids have far more options closer to home, particularly if they are willing to drop down a division or two.kapakahi wrote:Naeole was Hoskins' point recruiter.uhwarriors wrote:Either the offer from previous staff was pulled or a grayshirt offer.Duster wrote:Weber State?
