The ignorant fox NFL commentators were clowning his speed. Hawaii fans know different. His speed is deceiving.
Bess had a nice TD pass as well. Kept saying Henne was garbage.

I had a hardcore Lions fan at my crib yesterday, he HATES Kealoha Pilares ... at least for that moment.

Special Teams Players of the Week

Carolina KR/WR Keoloha Pilares, for the accomplishment of a 101-yard kickoff return for touchdown in the second quarter at Detroit ... and also for the timing of it. Detroit had cut a 10-0 Carolina lead to 10-7, and the crowd was back into the game. Pilares took the ensuing kickoff a yard deep on the right side of the end zone, and the kid from Hawaii wove to the left of the field and ran it all the way back for the score.

He HATES Me, was the last Panther to run back a kickoff for a TD.

Pilares, a rookie from Hawaii, ran a kickoff back 101 yards for a touchdown against the Lions, the longest kickoff return in Panthers history. His 46.7 yards per return tied Rod Smart for the best one-game mark in team history.

Correct. It was his first receiving TD. And that was a great play on ST.
