Chow spent 45 years away from Hawaii. Hawaii is not home. Home is in Manhattan Beach California. Outside of the UH, there is no reason for Chow to be here in Hawaii. There is no reason to take a job in Hawaii.

Chow made $275K a year before UH. He will be walking away with that much. So no need to work. If he does want to get back to football, there's USC or UCLA. Short commute. I do imagine Chow to get back to football in some way. I think he does have something to prove.
