"Tago and several other men approached a 23-year-old man early on the morning of June 4th, who was carrying a case of beer on California Street in Pullman. The alleged victim claims the group demanded his beer and assaulted him when he refused. The alleged victim suffered a concussion and the group stole the beer"

That’s not the most common path taken by college football players, but it will be the path taken by defensive end Jamie Tago, a 6-foot-3, 250-pound prospect who, on Tuesday, orally committed to KU..

After initially joining the program at the University of Hawaii, Tago moved on in search of a better opportunity and found it at Garden City Community College. That’s where he first landed on the radar of several Division I programs, including Kansas, which first contacted Tago after hearing about his workouts this spring.
“Things didn’t work out in Hawaii and coach (Jeff) Sims has given me an opportunity,” Tago told Kirby

He's lucky he is there. His coach blames the media and police and lets him play. If he was here he'd be off the team.
