Right on. Isn't that the second UH QB to be playing for Arena Football? Moniz being the other one?

Last night, Shane Austin came in the second half and led the Gladiators to a comeback victory.
He went 16/22 182 yards with three TDs plus two rushing TDs.

Looks like he'll be the starter from now on, or at least, he should be.
Also gives me a reason to go back to watching some AFL games.

Well, Shane Austin wasn't the starter, but the starting QB Dieker threw an INT on the first drive so in came STONE COLD SHANE AUSTIN. He fumbled on his first possession but led the comeback as he threw 6 TDs and rushed for 2 more. The Gladiators are now 3-0. You can see some of his highlights in the video above. Sure makes me miss seeing what Colt could've done out there but glad to see Shane Austin doing his thing.

He was also named AFL MVP for Week 3 after coming in for relief and leading the comeback last week too.

Hell ya Shane! Show them what Warrior football is!!!

If you've never watch an AFL in person, you're missing out. A lot more fast pace and exciting than any NFL game I've ever been too. And I've seen Joe Montana, John Elway, and Warren Moon.

lol I've been trying to go to a Portland game ever since the season started! And by that, I mean try to win some free tickets! lol. Don't feel like dishing out $40 to go.

Shane Austin was voted as the AFL's MVP of Week 5 making it his second MVP selection this season!

He went 21/37 passing for 243 yards with 5 touchdowns in a 40-30 victory against what was supposed to be Colt Brennan's LA KISS. Apparently he leads the AFL in passing efficiency with 128.1 and has not thrown an interception yet.

I know it's only the AFL, but it's pretty crazy that he's having the most success out of pretty much all of our most recent QBs. I mean, Moniz and Colt did have brief stints in the AFL too. I doubt Stone Cold Shane Austin will get a shot at the NFL but it'd be pretty funny and crazy if he did.

So because I have no life, I looked it up and Shane Austin had only completed 7 passes to Royce Pollard during his entire UH career. The only time he apparently throw a TD to him was in 2010 Spring game.

That's awesome, though! Glad he's finally getting some playing time. Hawaii players have been killing it in getting the AFL spotlight. Mike Washington had a nice catch today that got him on ESPN Top Ten and while not necessarily a good thing, he also made the ESPN Not Top Ten a while back cause a fan interfered with a pass intended for him.

But playoffs start in two weeks and I hope to catch some Cleveland Gladiator action!

My Spokane Shock is out. Cleveland has two former Warriors playing on the team.

I'm rooting for Cleveland all the way, they are going to play Arizona in Cleveland for the AFL Championship!

Good luck Shane and Royce!!!
