Maybe I'm out of touch, but is the CIRCUIT now called "ASP Tour"? I can't seem to remember what the PRO surfing tour was called?

It's all pretty confusing to me.....ASP has the WCT group of surf meets (World Championship Tour) and then also a set of meets called Prime and a set of meets rated by a number of stars (max 6 stars, min 2 stars). The top surfers in the world compete in the WCT set of meets and the rest compete in the other events to try to get enough points to make the WCT....or that is my understanding. Then there is ISP which seems more like geared to making surfing a Olympic event or at least something along those lines where they have team events and individual.

The El Salvador event is over and the Woman's meet Roxy Pro Biarritz in France has been canceled and rescheduled for Sept 24 - 30

There is also the womens WCT which will include the upcoming Vans US open of surfing whereas for the mens it is a prime event however many of the WCT guys will surf there. Then there is juniors and longboard, comps. So the next live web cast that I know of will be the Vans which will run from July 20 to 28 http://www.vansusopenofsurfing.com/news ... ing-lineup

The Vans Open was won by Alejo Muniz (Brazil) and Carissa Moore from Hawaii
The next televised pro surfing event is the Supergirl Pro starting August 2....I think only the final on August 4 will be live at

Competing in this all female event will be 15 surfers from Hawaii in addition to the USA surfers, female surfers from 10 other countries. Bethany Hamilton will be competing in this event (you know the Kauai girl who got her arm bit off by a shark). She is pretty incredible to still be competing on the pro circuit. Women's surfing has progressed so much and there are so many really good female surfers.
