If there is another initial available it's not going to a one and done QB who will miss all of spring practice as they put in the expanded passing game. He would be too far behind to try to pick up the offense in the fall. The situation would be similar to Tuileta last year.

In a stellar high school career, including as a varsity starter for three seasons, Dawkins threw for 8,427 yards and 88 touchdowns. He added 1,397 rushing yards and 20 more scores on the ground.

In college, 56.3% completion percentage. 15 TD, 12 INTs. Not much to get excited about.

I won't mind him coming here and competing for the job with the others. It couldn't hurt

I'm excited about having a solid 2nd or 3rd string QB should one of our Incoming Frosh gets hurt.
We have ZERO depth at QB

#3 QB was 5-9 22 yard last season. Coaches had zero confidence in passing

#4 QB hasn't played a football game in 4 1/2 years

#5 & 6 QB will probably another position by the fall

Anyone remember this game, and this was the 7-7 year.
Brandon Dawkins ran for three touchdowns and passed for another and Arizona wrapped up nonconference play with a 47-28 victory over Hawaii on Saturday night.

Dawkins, starting in place of injured Anu Solomon for the second straight game, completed 16 of 21 passes for 235 yards and carried 15 times for 118 more.

Graduate transfer QB Brandon Dawkins joining Indiana
Apr 10, 2018
Indiana is adding former Arizona starting quarterback Brandon Dawkins as a graduate transfer, Dawkins told ESPN.com on Tuesday.

Dawkins, who started most of the 2016 season and the start of the 2017 season for the Wildcats, picked Indiana after visiting campus two weeks ago. He also took a visit to Florida Atlantic, and several other FBS programs expressed interest. Dawkins is set to graduate from Arizona next month and will be eligible immediately with one year to play.
