We still need 2 more QBs in the stable.
I rather have a 4 star QB as a backup than a 1 or 2 star or a walkon.
Don't forget we offered Milton from Mililani too. Unless Kafentzis is willing to change positions, very athletic and has Kafentzis blood.
I think Milton would be the one to change positions.
Apologies for not being clear.
Don't want to get lost in all this. My off hand comment was about getting some 4 star players at other positions and particularly on the O-line and D-line.
TO BE CLEAR, We are VERY LUCKY to get another Kafentzis at UH. That stands ALONE !
Good for UH and good for the fans. I expect he would eventually (and maybe immediately) start over all other QB's, even if we actually recruit a couple of 5 star players at the position. But hey, let's get some 4 star players at other positions. This is a good get SO EARLY. Keep going ! Go Bows ! This is a good start.
Some of the comments reminded me to ask this. What about the Noga Brothers? Did any of their kids play(ed) football? Or may be I just didn't read about it?
I would figure that's some strong DNA in the blood line?
This would be a great add but i believe it would surprise a lot of people if Kafentzis de-commited. I like Milton and believe the kid could be very special.
Do we have anything that actually suggests Kafentzis will come here? Or just spitballing? Some are talking like he's with the program already...Kafentzis is a Nevada student athlete, and even if he's released...the chances of Polian releasing him to Hawaii (he can block which schools he transfers to) are close to zero. There are rules set in place to prevent inter-conference poaching.
Zwahlen was 4-Stars only according to ESPN's loose recruiting system. There are a loooooot of 4-Star QBs according to ESPN. He was 2-Stars on Scout and Rivals. 3-Stars on 247.

we need as many 3, 4 and 5 star QBs that we can get. Depth is a necessity. No one knows for sure how any of them will pan out. When one goes down you need another to step up. And you can't keep your fingers crossed that when one graduates the next in line is the man. Like any position it is still a numbers game. You can reload if you have quality QBs. Hard to do if you don't have depth. And competition makes everyone better.

Was wondering why I didn't see him on the Nevada Roster
