I wasn't to impressed with Redd last year. I was more worried about the other runninigbacks. This is one position where they have a lot of depth.

USC's two most veteran running backs will not be with the 24th-ranked Trojans when they travel to Honolulu today for Thursday's season opener against the University of Hawaii.
"Silas Redd and D.J. Morgan have been ruled out (medically) for this game, so we're not bringing them on this trip so they can stay here and rehab (injuries)," head coach Lane Kiffin said on the Pac-12 football coaches conference call today
Kiffin really likes freshman Davis and had said that he would not rule out starting him over Redd. He said this in April. Would be something seeing freshman starting for both teams thursday.BigWave96744 wrote:http://www.staradvertiser.com/news/brea ... =221362341USC's top 2 running backs won't make Hawaii trip

I think that Kiffen is using this as a preseason game to see what he has. Last year he was disappointed with his oline after the game. I did not think that they had a number one team type oline after that game too. They know we are going to have to cover Lee so he may use him more as a decoy. Lee will make his catches but we got to make the tackle and tackle him hard. Once his shoulder starts hurting his arms will get shorter. But it is his legs that i am worried about.madeinhawaii wrote:Hmmm... maybe Kiffen's buying some 'credibility insurance' for this game ... just in case our Warriors become his worst nightmare.
He can lay the blame for any poor performance on the many injuries and a long, hard road trip.
Exactly what I was thinking. Oregon, UCLA and Stanford will run this teams okole over!!!!J-Rod wrote:Geez....who is going to play for USC on Thursday? This team is going to get hammered in Pac-12 play.
Some enterprising young graffiti artist found a fire lane at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, and after the team’s 10-7 loss to Washington State, added an extra word on.
“KIFFIN.”
