Re: LLWS 2010
I doubted their ability to come back a few games. Just when you think it's too difficult for them to make a come back a miracle happens.
Way to go Waipio! Two more times! Give em!

Re: LLWS 2010
There's been some really good plate umpires, and there's been some that have been really junk.
It's okay if he's got a wide or tight strike-range, but any and every strike range has to include that all those pitches could actually be hit.
The plate umpire in our game yesterday, and the one today in this International championship game between Taipai and Japan - the umpire is calling strikes that a batter couldn't hit with a 6-ft. long fr'ck'n bat!
Come on, man.

See?
See what I mean?
That called 3rd strike for the last out in the first inning in this Texas game as an example.
So now we know. We got one of "those" umps working the plate.

Need to keep getting runs. Texas got some sluggers in that lineup.

Re: LLWS 2010
Nice bit of coaching by the Texas coach. His pitcher is clearly rattled and not having fun.
Still early, but I'd rather be on top by 7-0 than down by it with 9 outs to go.
