Re: 8/4 Practice Notes
If JJ is the only answer, this program might as well fold up tent and go home. Postponing the inevitable. We have to find a way to stand on our own two legs without him. JJ should have been rehired. Rolo could have been the oc and associate hc. Rolo is overmatched. When top admin staff right before...

Re: 8/4 Practice Notes
Yes. I go back to Dave Homes. JJ's practices were based on repetition and precision.

Re: 8/4 Practice Notes
Rolo went 7-7 with Chow's players. Overwhelmed like many of his players.

Re: 8/4 Practice Notes
My observations from yesterday: 1. Overall lack of talent compared with JJ and Mac teams. How many NFL prospects. Sofar only Ursua and Tavai. 2. Disregard the local bias to CC -- CM is the man. Moussa looked the best in drills. In fact he started the 65 play scrimmage imo to motivate CM who was lock...

K.H. appears fast against high school competition. Maybe another Dane McArthur?

Yes -- an OIA recruit.
Last year mainland dt recruits were more impressive on tape imo.
Hopefully Faumui plays defense.

Re: Larry Tuileta should be 100% football
Yes. Also ran the run and shoot at Punahou. Win the job during the spring and dominate fall camp. CC is promising -- good feet and vision with decent arm strength. Accuracy is also very good. However the frame is not ready for college football. Redshirt but be ready for plan b should tuileta fail or...

Re: DSJ Invited to NFLPA Bowl
DSJ fumbled. The broadcast crew kept hyping the other similar type rb.
Nonetheless DSJ looked like he belonged there.

What about some OIA recruits? Rolo has not landed one in 1.5 classes?
Disturbing.

Re: Run & Shoot returning?
Many posters dismiss what type of players Rolo inherited -- players designed to run power schemes and receivers to win one on one matchups based on play action. Rolo marvels at JJ's 1999 team since JJ always maintain "we do what we do" mantra. Decided to convert to the r&s instantly. W...

Re: Corey Batoon is the new DC
No "cherry pick" from your post, you asked a question...you wrote it, it is what it is. There is that potential. Lets not forget Chow recruited better than Rolo sofar. Chow's biggest issue was not finding the correct qb. Batoon should be able to recruit AAC athletes. Southern recruits hav...

Re: Corey Batoon is the new DC
Good hire on paper. Another St. Louis coach?
My biggest takeaway is that hopefully, he can bring recruits from Florida and Mississippi to run the 4-2-5. According to information from other sources, the scheme is predicated on undersized faster players. Supposedly effective against spreads.
