Re: Way too early top ten HS football 2019

@genks: Holy crap. You guys already have Botelho; let Hoohuli go to another school, as long as it isn't Punahou! :) Hahahaha I think he could be really good. Where ever he ends up he will be a good addition @gopunahou: (Sorry, I was editing the previous post while you posted this one.) Well, I don'...

Re: Way too early top ten HS football 2019

@unpaid: Yes, for months, guys have been saying that Campbell will be getting good transfers for the upcoming season, so I'm not surprised that you rank them so high. What was a pleasant surprise, though, is that you rank them above Punahou. I'd rank Punahou right behind St Louis, but here's a situ...

Re: Way too early top ten HS football 2019

Unpaid I noticed you didn’t mention Wynden Hoohuli, ILB. I saw someone on HPW mention another school is trying to convince his parents to transfer him. But if he stays at St Louis, he will be a great part of that defense. We saw flashes from him last year @genks: Holy crap. You guys already have Bo...

Re: Way too early top ten HS football 2019

HS Football Fanatic, A lot of your questions involve transfers, which I don't have the time to track down. I will leave that to informed board members and the StarAdvertiser.. Marques and Failauga were listed as juniors in 2018 for Waipahu so they should be coming back unless they have transferred o...

Re: John Ursua drafted in the 7th round

The standard answer is everyone get chance. This is better than not being drafted, etc. Yes, he could make a great impression. Don't know him personally, but I would think his maturity would be that extra bonus. Using Rich Miano as an example, I felt back then he "talked" his way through in his pro...

Re: unpaid D-I football

The Atimalala boys will be at Campbell this season. the rumor was if DJ (Campbell HC) wasn't rehired they would've transferred out. But he's back, so they'll be there and should be big time ballers this season. The transfers from st. louis to Mililani, 2 lbs and 1 rb should make an impact over ther...

Re: unpaid D-I football

I believe they started at Kapolei then played at Campbell last year. Both brothers are good receivers and play DB also. So losing them would be losing 2 starting receivers AND 2 starting DBs. At least I think they play both ways the whole game. I thought someone posted a while back that they may be...

Re: unpaid D-I football

HS football is almost here!!! I know spring football has already begun at most schools. Should be an interesting year, St louis looks like they're loaded with crazy talent this season and should be the top dogs. I think Punahou will be right up there also, returning most of their offense from a yea...

Re: unpaid D-I football

Genks, you wouldn’t happen to know a St Louis fan named KickerMVP, would you? No sir Thank you for answering. You are not missing anything, being that he’s antagonized my team for years and thinks everybody at Iolani is an elitist. He’s the walking definition of hypocrite. Him and people with his o...

Re: unpaid D-I football

@teamhawaii, genks: See? And this isn't the first time Mililani has "overscheduled," right? gopunahou said Mililani won't be as strong this coming season as they were last season; didn't York see that coming, too? And now they're going to get blown-out by Bosco, and might suffer injuries, in additi...

Re: unpaid D-I football

Mililani's scheduling is just saying that they would like to become a national power in hs football. This is the same path that Bobby Bowden began on the collegiate level at FSU in the seventies. FSU had no name recognition back in the late 70's when Bowden got there. They started scheduling home a...

Re: unpaid D-I football

Bosco is a nightmare to play against, especially with Mililani not having a returning qb. Mililani scheduling a home and home was an interesting move. More power to them. Not really familiar with the other mainland teams playing Hawaii, other than name recognition. Liberty got hammered by the Crusad...
