An act of kindness.  A selfless and heartfelt undertaking from a young lady named Kelsey Hung.  Kelsey is a seventh grader at Maddie’s school.  When Maddie’s diagnosis broke at her school, Kelsey’s mom said the news brought tears to Kelsey’s eyes.  She knew Maddie from seeing her on the playground before school.  The next thing she decided to do shows maturity well beyond her 12 young years.   

Kelsey made angel cell phone charms like these and sold them to friends to raise money. 

She quietly presented Maddie with a huge box full of gifts from Hello Kitty to the Disney Princesses.  When Kelsey’s mom explained what Kelsey had done to afford this, we were speechless.
  
Kelsey, we are so touched by your kindness, and impressed by your amazing compassion and goodness.  You have given Maddie much more than just gifts.  You have given her the gift of knowing how much an act of kindness can affect someone and in this case, our entire family.  Your thoughtfulness is breathtaking and we thank you for showing just how much you care.  You are a such a loving child of God and we are so blessed to know you.  We can only hope that Maddie will grow up to be as wonderful as you.

And to all of you who have lifted us up and offered a shoulder lean on in times of need.. who have generously fed us… who have sent encouraging words or even prayed quietly… a HUGE hug to you — for we couldn’t do this without YOU!  Your love overflows, and we are SO thankful… With all our love,
