Congratulations to Annett Wichmann, who won her third straight heptathalon yesterday at the WAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Boise, Idaho yesterday. Here’s what she had to say:

“More important than individual accomplishments, this was a great win for the team to get those 10 points,” Wichmann said. “I was happy with my effort in the javelin and look forward to the open competition tomorrow. It’s cool to represent UH and see your name on top of the leaderboard. Hopefully we get many more first places tomorrow.”

And if you have something to say about her amazing accomplishment, or the track and field championships in general, you can create a thread in Sportshawaii.com’s All Other UH Sports forum.
